Afterpay Terms & Conditions

(exclusive to Living Emporium Online Store Only)

How Does Afterpay Work?

  1. Afterpay is available in our Living Emporium stores and our online site.  Different conditions apply to in-store and for online purchases.  See below for further details.
  2. Afterpay allows you to shop now and pay for your purchase over 4 equal instalments.
  3. There are no fees if you pay on time.
  4. Late fees may apply if payments are not made on time. Refer to Afterpay’s  terms and conditions for more information afterpay.com/terms

IN-STORE

  • If you wish to use Afterpay in our physical stores, you need to be already registered with Afterpay and have the Afterpay App downloaded on your phone prior to making a purchase.
  • When you purchase in-store using Afterpay, the first payment will be deducted immediately. So if you are purchasing an item for $100, $25 will be deducted from the bank account linked to Afterpay straight away.
  • The amount available using Afterpay depends on your individual Afterpay account.

ONLINE STORE

  • If you are using Afterpay in our online store, simply select AFTERPAY at the checkout. You will then be directed to Afterpay’s website. You will need to register if you are a first-time user of Afterpay.
  • For online purchases, the first payment is generally deducted from your linked bank account 2 weeks from purchase date.
  • Afterpay is available on online orders from $70 to $1000. Other individual Afterpay limitations may also apply

Am I eligible for Afterpay?

  1. Do you live in Australia?
  2. You must be over 18 years old and be the authorised holder of an eligible debit/credit card to apply
  3. You must have a valid email address and mobile phone number
  4. Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract
  5. All orders are subject to Afterpay’s approval – for example, if you have any overdue payments, Afterpay will not be available to you.

Paying for my order?

  1. In-store 25% of the total payment will be required at time of purchase

Online        You will be advised upon checkout if you are required to make a payment upfront, otherwise your first payment is generally 2 weeks from date of purchase.  For items over $500 you may be required to pay 25% of the total payment at time of purchase.

  1. Once you have finalised your order your payment schedule will be emailed to you by Afterpay.
  2. Afterpay does not permit additions or changes to the order after it has been approved. If you wish to add to your order after it has been finalised, you will need to create a new Afterpay transaction.  See below for further terms regarding Refunds and Exchanges.

Afterpay Late Fee’s?

  1. There are no extra fee’s for using Afterpay
  2. You can make repayments to Afterpay any time BEFORE the due date. Otherwise, Afterpay will automatically process payments on the scheduled dates from your card. If a payment is not processed on or before the due date, late fees will apply – initial $10 late fee, and a further $7 if the payment remains unpaid 7 days after the due date.

Refunds and exchanges

  1. Afterpay does not permit additions or changes to the order after it has been approved. If there is a problem with your purchase your goods cannot be exchanged for other goods and must be refunded via Afterpay.
  2. All refunds will be processed within 10 working days by head office.
  3. No cash/eftpos payments will be made directly to customers in-store.
  4. If you purchased the items online then all queries regarding returns and exchanges must only be directed to our head office store at livingemporium@gmail.com
  5. Any refunds payable by Living Emporium will be made directly to Afterpay. Afterpay will then adjust your payment plan and refund any payments already made to you.
  6. If your agreement with Afterpay has been finalised, you will be contacted by our head office to arrange payment of funds to your nominated bank account upon confirmation from Afterpay
  7. All refunds must comply with Afterpay’s Terms and Conditions

What happens if my online order is cancelled?

  1. Sometimes we are not able to secure all items in your order. In this case, a refund will be issued to Afterpay. Your payment plan will be adjusted to reflect your new total.
